Some women experience an urgent and frequent need to urinate. This can greatly interfere with quality of life.
For some, the strong urge to void is associated with a smaller than expected volume of urine when emptying. Shortly thereafter, some women will feel another urge to go, despite having just gone.
This can be a direct result of poor bladder habits, inadequate or excessive fluid intake, poor toileting posture, impaired muscle coordination, overactive bladder and/or a hypertonic pelvic floor.
Physical therapy can help women identify what's casuing the urgency and frequency. Together, with your therapist, you can work towards establishing a healthier bladder routine.
