Incontinence |Her Body PT

Although urinary incontinence is quite common, at no point in time is it considered normal.  Leakage can occur for a variety of reasons.  Contrary to popular belief, it is not always due to a weakened pelvic floor.  There are several factors that can contribute to incontinence that should be considered when a patient is evaluated for this issue.  Posture, pelvic alignment and breathing mechanics are examples of such things that can influence our continence.

Kegel's are not always the answer and in some cases, can make the issue worse.  Consider having an evaluation to determine what is best for you.
